My baby doll turned 6 months a few days ago and of course I had to take pictures of her in a mama-made dress. Every month I’ve taken her pictures in a new handmade dress and I almost took a picture of her in a store bought dress that matched her crown the day before, until I realized what I was doing. My goal was to have a full year of pics in handmade dresses (12 dresses for 12 months) to put in a collage for her when she’s older. I could then pass on the dresses I made for her with the collage when she’s a mama. So here she is in a gorgeous, handmade, strawberry dress for her half birthday! My husband was much happier seeing her in such a unique dress too. He loves seeing her in mama’s creations. Now, I’m not saying store bought isn’t okay. She’s got some cute store bought outfits, but for her monthly pics, handmade is what our goal was. For memories sake 😉
We kept the store bought crown on for this shoot bc we thought it was appropriate, it was her half birthday after all. That, and because she wears the crown in our house. It’s her world, we’re all just living in it. haha. Anyways, I hope y’all like the dress. Hopefully next month she’ll give me more smiles since she was totally not giving them to me this time around.
These rocks are the ones her big brother found on the playground while we were taking pics. We’ve taken up rock painting and hiding/finding. It’s tons of fun and he wanted her to have pictures of them for her half birthday. I thought it was cute bc one of them even says, “Be Kind.”
“Don’t let fear or insecurity stop you from trying new things. Believe in yourself. Do what you love. And most importantly, be kind to others, even if you don’t like them.” -Stacy London
I made her this cute little bow to match her dress too. Isn’t it super cute?
Well, I really hope y’all love her strawberry dress. Why don’t y’all pass by my IG or other social media and let me know what y’all think?
Until next time, Stay creative!
