CLOSED! The Dream Catcher pattern is almost ready for testing! So I am needing the perfect mix of sizes in all levels of experience from all of you amazing sewcialists out there!
A go-to, versatile, feminine pattern that can be worn by many body types. The pattern features a kimono style sleeve and bodice with a shirred waistline to create an hourglass silhouette that gives any body shape a slimming look. The pattern has various sleeve and hem lengths to give a diverse look for any occasion. The pattern calls for knit fabrics, but adventurous sewists can help me test a second look using a woven fabric with a good amount of drape. (The name of the pattern was chosen because of the fact that this pattern came to me in a dream. Congrats to Melissa Malice for winning the name my pattern challenge. You’ll get the final pattern for FREE!)
SCHEDULE FOR TESTING:
- Sunday, November 8- Tester Call
- Wednesday, November 11 – Chosen testers will be sent an email to let y’all know you have been chosen. Email will include the pattern, size you are testing, and version. Plus, a link to the FB group you will need to join to ask any questions regarding the pattern.
- Friday, November 13 – Testing officially starts. This gives you a couple days to get your fabric and any materials needed to make your garment.
- Friday, November 20 – All photos and feedback will be due on this day.
This is a quick turnaround on the pattern because of the fact that this pattern is such a quick sew in all the versions. Testers may choose to sign up for whichever version they would like to do but must be willing to make a different version should that version be needed in the size they signed up for.
This pattern includes sizes 00-28, which ranges from a 24” to 50” waist. The waist has a couple inches of ease for the most comfortable, loose fit. If you prefer a snugger fit, you may want to go down a size, or vice versa.
If you are between sizes you may size down as the fit of the pattern is loose and has ease in it. Testers chosen will need knits in the range of 1.5 yards for version 1, the top, to 3.5 yards for version 5, the maxi. Should they have time, testers can choose to make more than one version, and even test it out in a woven, once they have submitted photos of the size & version they signed up for. Successful testers will get the final pattern with all versions free and a discount code to use on any of my past and/or future patterns.
CLOSED CALL NOW. TESTERS CHOSEN.
